Remembering The Forgotten ‘NINJA’ DOS Game

NINJA DOS

We love simple games, and Ninja certainly fits the bill, but where do you draw the line?

Ninja is a very simple freeware/shareware DOS game from 1986 that takes inspiration from Joust and other small and quick arcade games of the era. The game features a lot of Ninja killing action but much of the videos and information online talk about not understanding how to play the game, or never getting past the first stage.

In this video feature we talk a little about the history of the game, how to play the game, and show off a number of stages and how NINJA, while simple, can be pretty addictive once you get the hang of things.
