Reports Say Marvel To Produce “What If?” Series For Disney+

What If?

You watched it! You can’t unwatch it!

The Marvel What If? comics are something of a throwback to a long-gone age. They’re essentially anthology stories set in the Marvel Universe that act as pure, speculative fiction fanservice. And, according to /Film, Marvel is planning to adapt those comics into an animated series.

The show will be overseen by Kevin Feige. And, it’s actually possible that various characters will have their live-action actors reprise their roles in voice. Each episode will be its own entity; an adaptation of one of the comics in the series. One mentioned specifically is What If? Vol.1 #47: What if Loki found the hammer of Thor?.

The series is set to debut on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+. And it’ll be far from lonesome; everything from the Disney back catalog to their acquisitions from the Fox merger are said to be headed to the service.
