Poltato?

Whenever a new game comes out, obviously I think to myself “well, my piece-of-shit 7-year-old office PC that won’t let me upgrade it in any meaningful way sure as hell isn’t going to run this!” And I’m usually right. But for once, apparently, I’m wrong*. And in regards to Resident Evil Village of all things!

*haha no I’m not I can’t run shit please help me

Because PC Gamer found that even on their paltry, $400 gaming potato**, they were able to run Resident Evil Village at 720p (even if they had to deal with the graphics settings interface fighting them al the way). Coincidentally, the game also runs at 1080p, but with a not insignificant drop in framerate; 54 fps on average at 720p, vs 34 fps on average at 1080p.

**haha, I hope you all die in a fire caused by your jet-powered PC’s I’m not crying you’re crying

Granted, in both cases, you’d probably want to run it on the preset that prefers performance over graphics. It’s not the best the game can look or anything, and it’ll probably make the Videlectrix guys cry, but they’ll get over it. And you get to see scarousing big lady! That’s a good deal, right?
