‘Rez Infinite’ Gets Physical Collector’s Edition

Rez is one on the coolest and most unique games to ever come around. Rez is a rail shooter music video game released by Sega in Japan in 2001. Rez is a music game more than anything, but it’s really hard to lock down just what it really is, and that’s what makes it so damn unique. Also, the music is bloody fantastic and holds up well even today.

The game was popular enough to find it way onto the PS2 and even included some ‘special’ accessories. A “Special Package” version of Rez was released only in Japan that included a USB ‘Trance Vibrator’ that vibrated along with the music. It came in a protective pouch and was meant to be put into a pocket while playing. Yeah, sure, we all know it was a video game sex toy!

Rez Infinite won’t include the Trance Vibrator, but it still offers up some really cool extras. For $75 the collector’s edition will nab you:

  • 180-gram vinyl: Remastered Soundtrack 2xLP
  • Bonus 7-inch Vinyl for Area X
  • 48-page Retrospective Bool, featuring rare & candid conversations with the original development team
  • Digital Soundtrack
