Robot Cache Like Steam, But With Cryptocurrency

Robot Cache

What could possibly go wrong?

Robot Cache is aiming to take on Steam in the online PC games market. And to that end, it’s going to do something even Steam no longer does, and do it one further. It’s going to deal exclusively in cryptocurrency.

You know, I was going to go into how Robot Cache has its own cryptocurrency (IRON, based on Etherium), how they somehow roped Nolan Bushnell into this, and so on. I don’t see the point anymore.

If knowing that they deal exclusively in their own cryptocurrency and plan on somehow having a secondary “used” market for games which continues to give cryptocurrency to the developers for the secondary transaction (which makes up the majority of the transaction, at that) doesn’t send up all the red flags in the world to you, nothing else I can say will. Grab all the Professor Land fun bucks you can. I just don’t give a shit anymore.

How the hell is it that ArsTechnica commenters seem to be the only ones on my side in this shit?
