All about teamwork.

Sonic The Hedgehog has had an odd history with racing games. And the last two – the Sonic & Sega All Star Racing games – have been pretty good. So it’s no surprise that Team Sonic Racing was gonna happen. But this time, it’s just Sonic characters (which is fine, because there’s an assload of them), and there’s a twist.

The game is going to be about teamwork out on the track. By teaming up, you can pull maneuvers on opponents; I’m imagining something like the shake and bake from Talladega Nights. Or maybe something far more outlandish; this is Sonic, you know. Either way, this is a dynamic that is incredibly uncommon in racing games, so it will definitely set the game apart from the pack.

Regardless, Team Sonic Racing is set for a winter release this year. It’ll be coming to Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC, too, so you won’t have to miss out.
