Shanghai Dragons Clear House After 0-40 Overwatch League Season

Overwatch

They’re like the Cleveland Browns, except the Browns occasionally win a game.

The Shanghai Dragons did not have a good Overwatch League season. Actually, that’s an understatement; they had the worst season imaginable. 0 wins, 40 losses.

And following that shameful display, the team management has decided to cut eight players from the team’s roster.

  • Cheng “Altering” Yage
  • Xu “Freefeel” Peixuan
  • Chen “Fiveking” Zhaoyu
  • Jing “Roshan” Wenhao
  • Liu “Xushu” Junjie
  • Chon “Ado” Gi-hyeon
  • He “Sky” Junjian
  • Kim “Daemin” Dae-min

This leaves them only three team members left on the roster: Diya, Geguri, and Fearless. But they didn’t stop at the eight players they dropped; they also let go coaches Kong and Nai8.

Despite all the trash I talked above, they aren’t necessarily bad players. But judging by the track record, they definitely didn’t gel as a team; or at the very least, they all met the hardest counters they could possibly meet. As they’ve retained three players, they could be planning to rebuild around those three.
