Yooka-Laylee may be getting all the love and attention for good reason, but it’s not the only show in town with regards to the buddy 3D platformer.

Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island is a vibrant 3D platformer, a homage to the beloved platformer genre of the previous decade that looks and feels a like like Ratchet and Clack or the original Jax and Daxter.

In the game you explore the island with the freedom-boosting Jet Pack, and uncover its mysterious past with the puzzling Time Orb. I don’t know if the colorful 3D platformer is coming back, but I sure hope it is! All this brown on brown, super cereal stuff can get depressing at times.
