Infinite Edge.

Well, it’s that time again. Can’t revel in the comfortable familiarity of the past forever, eh, chums? We now have what may be Sonic Forces’ actual villain: Infinite. And boy, is he edgy.

He’s faster than Sonic. He floats. He has a mask. He even makes Shadow look not-edgy by comparison. Sega’s going to have to really work it to keep this from being Infinite’s enduring legacy:

Look, I’ve played the game demo at E3, the gameplay is solid enough. It feels right, if that makes any sense to you. But, calling it right now, this is probably Sonic from another universe or after some horrific cataclysm or something like that. Which might be dangerous, given Ken Penders’ tenuous grasp of copyright law. He does, technically (in his own mind), own Sonic in a leather jacket.
