Star Trek Online Launches Episode with LeVar Bruton

The best part is, he doesn’t need to wear that visor anymore.

LeVar Burton is reprising his role as Geordi La Forge for Star Trek Online. The episode, titled “Beyond the Nexus”, pairs you up with Captain Geordi La Forge. What’s more, the next season will feature LeVar Burton heavily. Titled Season 14 – Emergence, the new season starts on PC October 3rd. From the press release:

Captains can log into the PC version of Star Trek Online right now to access “Beyond The Nexus,” a new featured episode celebrating the 30^th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation. During this mission, players will fight shoulder-to-shoulder with Starfleet Captain Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) to aid in rescuing the crew of a Galaxy-class ship under attack. Beginning September 21, captains will also be able to purchase a brand-new Galaxy-class interior. Star Trek Online is also celebrating TNG’s anniversary with server-wide giveaways on September 28, which include the classic skant uniform and Type 7 shuttle.

It has yet to be announced when “Beyond the Nexus” and Season 14 – Emergence will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
