Streamer Shroud Gets Temp-banned for Playing PUBG With Hacker

PUBG

He kinda knew it would happen.

It seems that popular streamer Shroud has earned himself a temporary ban from Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds. This is due to the fact that he decided to play with a hacker. That said, living out your Harry Potter dreams in a flying car had to be pretty fun.

To be fair, he knew he’d get banned. There’s one point in the video where the hacker tries to advertise his sale of the hacks used, and Shroud shushes him. And, he has apologized for it in a stream:

I was trying to have a good time. Obviously I knew what the fuck I was doing. It wasn’t a great idea. It seemed like a great idea. But it wasn’t a great idea. I’m sorry to those peeps that are really upset with me, with all the, you know, flying around with the cheater and stuff. I got banned for a month.

The reaction on Reddit was, well, mixed. Plenty thought he deserved harsher punishment, but an equal number thought it was relatively fair. He had, apparently, been running into hackers all day, and decided to just have some fun. Hell, even Shroud admitted that hackers like that should’ve been banned way before they met for a second time, much less the third:

It really goes to show that PUBG, full offense to you guys, don’t give a shit because that guy should have been banned immediately. He ran into me twice. The first time he ran me over fine that was kind of quick, whatever. Second time, he parked his car and I killed him when he was flying his car into the house. At that point, he should already be banned. Third time, I said fuck it, I’m gonna have some fun with him. Let’s see how long this lasts. We’re riding around together, he’s still not banned.

That said, PUBG Corp has no compunctions against dropping the banhammer on popular players. Shroud wasn’t the first, and won’t be the last. Though, he admittedly had a lot of fun earning that ban.
