Street Fighter II, Centipede, And Rampage Get The Small Arcade Cabinet Treatment

Arcade1Up

A wonderland of old games.

Tastemakers has been making waves with their Arcade1Up line of smaller-than-average at home arcade cabinets. They all measure about 4 feet tall, and come with a small clutch of classic arcade games installed. Even better, each cabinet is made to look like the original cabinet for its lead-off game.

The first wave is on its way this Fall, with a lineup of 5 cabinets totally wort owning. The contain the following:

  • Asteroids (Asteroids, Tempest, Major Havoc, Lunar Lander)
  • Rampage (Rampage, Gauntlet, Joust, Defender)
  • Centipede (Centipede, Crystal Castles, Missile Command, Millipede)
  • Final Fight (Final Fight, Ghosts ‘N Goblins, 1944: The Loop Master, Strider)
  • Street Fighter II Champion Edition (Street Fighter II Champion Edition, Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter II The New Champions)

You can also get a stool and riser for all of the cabinets. As for getting your hands on one, it’ll cost you $400 (which is actually affordable considering what you’re getting; just the  original boards for some of these games  can cost you thatmuch). Pre-orders are open now at both GameStop and Walmart. The first Arcade1Up line officially launches on September 25th this year.
