Super Mario Maker 2 announced for Switch

One of the best games from the last console generation is getting a sequel and the internet (and YouTube) could not be more excited.

Super Mario Maker 2 was just announced for the Nintendo Switch and it’s coming with a bunch of new features. Most notably is the interface change to better fit on the Switch touch-system.

Yes, the Wii U was also a touch-based system but it really required the use of the stylus to really work because of the resistive nature of the Wii U Gamepad. The Switch is a little less precise, so a more forgiving layout is really nice.

The Wii U is dead, but Super Mario Maker is still one of the only games from last generation that I still pick up and play. Heck, when people come over they still pull it down from the shelf and it validates me choice to keep the Wii U plugged in.

Details a scant with only the announcement trailer teasing us with the goods. Still, there’s no doubt when this one drops it’s going to print money for Nintendo. It’s already on my “must have” list for 2019!
