They love doing this on the Super-stuff.
Supergirl has frequently featured discussions between characters about Lex Luthor. But now, he’s making his way to the stage. And they’ve cast Jon Cryer to play him. The promotional image is below.
For the entirety of Supergirl‘s run, Lex has been in prison (hence the prison jumpsuit and bleak setting). So, presumably, at least some of the season’s tail end will be about him breaking out. Cryer’s debut as Lex will come on the March 17th episode, “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”, in which he reaches out to his sister Lena for almost certainly nefarious reasons. While this may be Cryer’s first turn as Lex, though, it’s not the first time he’s played a Luthor…
It’s sort of a time-honored tradition to cast actors from previous Super-shows and movies into new roles, after all.
