Team17 Dump NFT Plans After One Day Of Backlash

Dump it.

Just one day after announcing their NFT project, MetaWorms, Team 17 has walked back from the whole thing. And all it took was massive backlash from fans as well as other studios.

Team17 is today announcing an end to the MetaWorms NFT project.

We have listened to our Teamsters, development partners, and our games’ communities, and the concerns they’ve expressed, and have therefore taken the decision to step back from the NFT space.

It’s honestly not that surprising; though, admittedly, the timeline on it is pretty funny. And it’s become a running theme for individuals and smaller companies. Not Ubisoft, though. You just don’t understand the true value of their NFTs.
