Immediate thought.

The CW is cancelling Batwoman. Showrunner Caroline Dries announced the news over on Twitter.

The mystery isn’t that it was cancelled, in my opinion. Considering the shakeup happening at Warner with Zaslav in the driver’s seat, that is; frankly there’s a lot of it going around. The surprise is that they actually lasted 3 whole seasons. Absolutely nothing I saw of this show made it look like it was a good show (I feel bad for the guy playing Luke Fox, though).

The thread on twitter also has multiple responses to the cancellation. They ran from the reasonable “I’m not surprised” crowd, to the completely delusional “how can they cancel such a great and important show” sort. But there was only one response to the show’s end that I was remotely interested in seeing:
