‘The Great Ocean’ hits Meta Quest 2 on World Cleanup Day

The Great Ocean is a high-tech ROV submarine adventure

Independent developer and publisher Actrio Studio will be launching The Great Ocean –the first immersive VR game on Ocean exploration with real threats and real locations – on Meta Quest 2 on September 17th. The game is planned to be released on Steam later this year.

In The Great Ocean, you dive into an adventure of the Earth’s oceans. Explore in your high-tech ROV like in a submarine fascinating spots like the Galapagos, the Caribbean island and diving paradise Cozumel, the Arctic or the Deep Sea and use your upgradeable tools to solve quests as you discover sunken submarines, WW2 battleship wrecks, deep sea creatures and coral reefs.

You will also encounter all of the giants and living wonders of the oceans from sharks, to dolphins, sea turtles and the blue whale. The game features many hours of gameplay with a personal story, great interaction and challenging quests with a global leaderboard that engage players on the exploration of the oceans and to go where no one has gone before.

After being in development for more than 2 years, The Great Ocean will launch into Early Access on the World Cleanup Day, Sept 17th 2022.

The Great Ocean will be available on Meta AppLab and Sidequest with first 2 levels and more than 1 hour of core game play. A free demo will be available on Sidequest. Further updates with more quests and levels are scheduled in the upcoming months.
