We finally have our first look at the gameplay for Rage 2 from Bethesda and boy, does the game ever feel like Borderlands 3. Scrolling through the comments on the video online people seem to be calling it Borderlands with Doom graphics, and to be fair, I can’t blame them.
While the game itself might not be anything like Borderlands, the marketing team sure seems to see that series as an inspiration with their colorful trailer chalk-full of upbeat music and crazy characters. I can’t wait until someone changes the trailer to toss in fake Borderlands 3 art.
I’m not onboard the Rage 2 hype-train, mostly because that’s stupid after a single and meticulously crafted trailer. I worked in marketing so I know how important it is to get the fanboys salivating over trailers so they can do the legwork online for you for nothing. Que all the hype and analysis trailers on YouTube.
