The Witcher lands on Netflix December 20th
We finally have a solid release date for the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher. The Netflix limited series is based on the hit video game series which itself is based on a book series.
Video game adaptations are always really bad because Hollywood likes to adapt the action beats and not the core story, which, to be fair, is usually the weakest part of a video game.
Thankfully, it looks as if this adaptation is taking focusing a little more on the books than the game of the same name. We will see how Netflix handles such a project, but it’ safe to safe the bar if pretty low for them to perform in this space.
