Thunderbirds Are Go on Amazon Prime

Thunderbirds Are Go

The first season of Amazon’s original animated kids series Thunderbirds Are Go, is now available to stream for Prime members. All 13 episodes of season one are available to stream in the US and Japan, and will subsequently air on Prime Video in the UK, Germany and Austria.

Thunderbirds Are Go is a reinvention of the classic Thunderbirds series, and features the world’s most famous family of heroes, International Rescue.

The show holds a special place in my heart, even though it was on well before my time. I remember catching the show on Tech TV (or was it already G4?) and being captivated by its unique style. Marionettes doing their thing was so cool.

Although this new show wont be made from puppets, it does seem to retain the feel of the original in the CG style. One hopes that the show does well and it’s great seeing original shows for kids on these streaming platforms.

Rosamund Pike (The World’s End, Gone Girl) stars as Lady Penelope with David Graham reprising his role as Parker from the classic series.
