Trevor Noah to replace Jon Stewart as new host Of ‘The Daily Show’

We finally have an answer to who will be taking the anchor chair over at the Daily Show once John Stewart steps down later this year. The network has tapped South African comedian Trevor Noah to take over for The Daily Show, stepping up from his senior correspondent position

Noah confirmed reports this morning via his twitter account tweeting, “No-one can replace Jon Stewart. But together with the amazing team at The Daily Show, we will continue to make this the best damn news show!”

The network says that the switchover will take place later this year. No official date has been announced by Stewart or the network on just when he will be saying goodbye, but the speculation is sometime late this summer.
