Microgrants ahoy!
Twitch has partnered with 1000 Dreams Fund for a special project in honor of Women’s History Month. They’ll be offering small grants to female Twitch streamers in hope of breaking up the top ten. They’ll also hold a series of charity streams in support of the charity starting March 1.
The BroadcastHER grant offers between $500 and $2000 to two lucky streamers every semester. Applicants must be in either high school or college, and have a demonstrable need for the grant to be eligible.
According to 1000 Dream Fund, the grants are meant to cover “travel to gaming conventions, educational conferences, hardware upgrades, and instructional programs related to creative or artistic pursuits.”
