Twitch gets the Amazon Prime treatment with Twitch Prime

Twitch Con 2016 is going strong down in San Diego this weekend. The big news from the show, aside from the chance to meet your favorite boobie streamer, is coming from Amazon. This makes sense as Amazon purchased the company for an insane amount of money. But Amazon now seems to really be bringing Twitch into the fold with the newly announced Twitch Prime.

This month's freebies.
This month’s freebies.

If you are already an Amazon Prime subscriber (that’s me!) you’ll now be able to get some free features with Twitch. Prime members now get free ad-free streaming while watching, access to exclusive deals and loot like game skins, characters, boosts, and they are even teasing free games from time to time.

Oh, but that’s not all! Twitch Prime members will also get one free subscription per month. This means that you can skip the monthly fee associated with subscribing to your favorite boobie Twitch Streamer. What is nice is that Amazon is taking care of its Twtich Streamers too, so if someone uses their free subscription on your channel Amazon will still pay you for it. As Twitch CEO Emmet Shear puts it, Twitch Prime is “literally giving your favorite streamer free money.”

The program has already kicked off so you can link your account for those already using Amazon Prime. In addition to this both Amazon and Twitch are being super awesome by donating $100,000 to the GameChanger charity for every 100,000 new subscriptions to “ANY” channel on Twitch. This goes for both paid and free subs!
