Twitch Keeps Bob Ross On The Air

Bob Ross

Twitch is the go to place to watch people play video games. I know how that sounds, and even as a video game player/reviewer I still find it hard to understand the huge appeal. Still, the numbers don’t lie as the service is so huge that even YouTube was pushed into creating their own let’s play streaming section so it doesn’t miss out on all that sweet, sweet ad revenue money. While Twitch is pretty amazing for video game content, it doesn’t cater to anything else.

In an attempt to branch out and draw in new audiences and content creators Twitch has launched their “Twitch Creative” section by showing a marathon of Bob Ross‘ “The Joy of Painting.” This move was so well received –reaching 5.6 million unique views– that Twitch is bring the series back after its run completed. The Joy of Painting will have a season marathon every Monday, so if you are having those Monday blues, it would be a splendid idea to watch the master paint some happy little trees.

Each season will run from 3 PM PST to 9:30 PM PST every Monday on Twitch Creative.  Don’t worry about any repeats as the show ran for an amazing 31 seasons before ending.
