Upcoming Mortal Kombat Movie Will Be R-rated, Feature Fatalities

FINISH HIM!

The Mortal Kombat movie reboot’s writer, Greg Russo, took to Twitter to put some things to bed about the movie. Namely, just how gory you can expect it to be.

Granted, R-rated and Fatalities are good; you expect that from Mortal Kombat. Though there aren’t any specifics on what fatalities to expect. That said, I’d bet on the most iconic ones.

The cast hasn’t been announced yet, aside from Joe Taslim (The Raid: Redemption) as Sub-Zero. As for other characters, though, Kano, Sonya Blade, and Raiden are said to be in the film, alongside new character Cole Turner. The mostly unknown Simon McQuoid is set to direct, with James Wan (Aquaman, Saw) producing.

But as for story or release? You’ll just have to wait.
