8 years ago, modder TheHappyCrusader set out to bring the world of Warcraft (III, specifically) to Total War. The efforts were focused on Medieval 2: Total War, to be exact. And, years of work and a complete change of personnel later, Warcraft: Total War is finally in public beta.

The mod gives you over 20 factions to choose from, including The Horde, The Scourge, The Burning Legion, Therarmore. Pretty much every faction you could imagine. Plus a custom campaign to go along with all that work. Everything is designed to resemble the Warcraft universe from top to bottom. You can have Dragons and casters, all units complete with building tree, and a fitting UI to tie it all together.
