‘Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf’ is coming to Early Access on Steam

HeroCraft are pleased to announce that card driven turn-based tactical combat game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, licensed by Games Workshop, is coming to Early Access on Steam in February 2017.

Games Worshop is the sort of company that just loves to licence out their Warhammer universe to anyone and everyone. I’m, not against this, but it does feel like half-a-dozen studios are releasing games within the same universe.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a turn-based tactical game which features RPG elements, containing single player campaign, survival and PvP modes. The game is driven using collectible cards representing the arsenal of weapons and abilities of the Space Marines of the Space Wolves Chapter originated from the Feral World of Fenris.

The game was released on iOS for the first time in 2014, then half a year later on Android, with more than 3 million downloads in total. Now we’re really excited to bring the game to PC players as a premium experience, and announce its release on Early Access on Steam.

The game is hitting early access which will offer both Steam customers and Warhammer 40k fans a relevant experience they are looking for with enhanced graphics and other PC features. From the very beginning of Early Access the team will release the version with original mobile gameplay and in-game balance to see the reaction and gather feedback. This will allow us to plan our development route based on an actual understanding of what players would like to see in our game.
