Xbox E3 2019

Xbox

ProTip: No Banjo, so stop asking.

Xbox ad their E3 presentation, and there’s a fair bit on the table. So let’s just jump in to it:

The Outer Worlds

They kicked things off with a bang. A lot of bangs, actually. Moreover, you won’t be waiting too long to tear up Halcyon Colony. The Outer Worlds releases October 25th this year.

Bleeding Edge

Things got a little bloodier with Ninja Theory’s team combat game Bleeding Edge announcement. You won’t have to wait long get get a crack in on the game either. The technical alpha starts June 27th.

Ori and the Will of the Whisps

The sequel to the acclaimed Ori and the Blind Forest is on its way. It’s a bit further out than its presentation forebears, however. Ori and the Will of the Whisps is set for a February 11, 2020 release date.

Minecraft Dungeons

Ever think to yourself “Gee, I’d like Minecraft more if it was basically Diablo“? Well, here you go.

Interlude

Phil Spencer walks onstage in a Psychonauts logo shirt. The chat failed to notice for like a full minute.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Well, shit. This actually looks good. Which is why it kills me to ask: is EA gonna fuck this one up? Because I really don’t want them to. Well, the wait ends November 11 this year. And goddamnit, it might actually be better than the movie due out this year.

Blair Witch

Do you miss the old shakey cam? Well, you’ll be making your own found footage this time around. Blair Witch is out August 30th this year.

Cyberpunk 2077

You already knew you wanted it. But now that you know Keanu Reeves is in it, you’re wondering “Do doggos come in street samurai?”. May well be the most wholesome 7 minutes you watch of the presentation. Cyberpunk 2077 now has a release date: April 16th, 2020. The wait will be intolerable.

ODD AID YOU’RE BREATHTAKING

Spiritfarer

Spiritfarer is “a cozy management game about dying”. Thunder Lotus, the developers of Jotun, have done some fantastic work judging by the trailer. The animations are excellent.
