There is no denying that amiibo love is sky high. I know people who just go out and collect the figures in the same way people collect Funko PoP figures. Well, it looks like you are soon going to have to add a few new members to you amiibo collection, as Yoshi’s Woolly World is getting a line of adorable figures for the upcoming game. But as you know, amiibo are more than just decorative figures to display of your desk, they also offer up unique perks within many Nintendo game.
Case in point: a brief trailer that coincides with this announcement shows several Woolly Yoshi touching current amiibo figures and turning into said versions. Odds are that if you tap any current amiibo in Yoshi’s Woolly World, you’ll get to play as a cute Yoshi version of the character. No word on if you’ll earn any new special abilities, but it looks fun nonetheless. Yoshi’s Woolly World drops later this year, but we already can’t wait to get our hands on these little guys.
