Airdrops of The Interview heading to North Korea

The Interview

The Interview may have come and gone here in the states, but if one man has his way the country of North Korea is about to see the film for themselves. Park Sang-hak, a defector and activist is planning to airdrop some 100,000 copies of the Sony film to the people of North Korea. His ingenious plan involves the use of balloons outfitted with hundreds of the film on both DVD and USB thumb drives.

The plan is to have these balloons hit the mainland sometime in late January. Who knows what kind of impact this stunt will have as finding as targeting an area of people that have the capabilities to either watch a DVD or access a USB drive could prove difficult. Whatever happens it’s bound to upset the powers that be and for that it’s newsworthy enough.
