Zach Galifianakis (pictured above without a beard – no, really) has just joined Jon Hamm in Greg Mottola’s Keeping up With the Joneses. From The Hollywood Reporter:
The script follows a type-A couple in an idyllic suburban neighborhood who discover that their new, seemingly perfect neighbors are undercover agents.
That sounds like it could be in the same vein as Spies Like Us, or that other great slapstick comedy Arlington Road. I’m assuming Zach and Jon aren’t playing a gay couple, so my guess is the wives have yet to be cast. Countdown to Kristen Wiig in 3…2…
I think Mottola is an inspired choice to direct this. Paul was simply okay, but I love Superbad and Adventureland, so I’m pretty optimistic about Keeping up With the Joneses.
