Another Game of Thrones actor joins Star Wars: Episode VII

Miltos Yerolemou, best known playing Arya Stark’s “water dancing” instructor Syrio Forel on Game of Thrones, has reportedly joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. This is exciting to me because Syrio was always one of my favorite characters, both on the page and the screen. I also have a tattoo on my wrist reading “Not Today,” ladies.

The BBC had this to say about Yerolemou’s casting:

His extensive experience will inevitably lead to speculation that he may use a lightsabre in the film.

However, his character in Star Wars is not thought to be a major one.

Ugh, J.J. Abrams is infuriating. He casts a guy who’s wielded swords in almost every damn role he’s ever had, and won’t even confirm that the guy will be picking up a lightsaber. At this point I’m surprised he’s admitting that Harrison Ford is playing Han Solo. Hopefully they let Yerolemou use an actual sword this time around, not just a wooden one.
