No, no I’m not. This was inevitable, no matter how much optimism was in play.
It seems things are coming to an end for Battleborn. After the Fall patch, which brings balance changes, challenge changes, and some Borderlands skins, there is no planned content on the horizon. As per Creative Director Randy Varnell’s open letter:
As of this week, there will be no more Battleplans and there is currently no planned content after the Fall Update. Details of any future changes or news will be made on our forums or through social media, so keep your radars on.
According to the letter, the servers will stay up for the foreseeable future (yay?). But everyone involved in the game seems to be moving to the next big project. So long, Battleborn; may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. Even a free to play version couldn’t save you.
