BlizzCon Introduces New Overwatch Hero, Ashe

Overwatch

Eh, nobody bothers coding lever-action right anyway.

BlizzCon’s latest is Overwatch‘s Hero 29, Ashe. She’s the leader of the Deadlock Gang, of which McCree is a former member.

Ashe quickly fires her rifle from the hip or uses her weapon’s aim-down sights to line up a high damage shot. She blasts enemies by throwing dynamite, and her coach gun packs enough punch to put some distance between her and her foes. And Ashe is not alone, as she can call on her omnic ally B.O.B., to join the fray when the need arises.

Her primary is a semi-automatic rifle that has a lever for some reason. Which I’m not too worried about, as long as I can recreate the intro to The Rifleman with it.

Mmmm, reloading.

She also has a coach gun, which is useful for both mobility and creating some distance between her and her enemies. She also has dynamite, which either explodes on delay, or when shot, and deals some fire damage over time to any enemies that weren’t killed outright by the explosion. Finally, her Ult summons her Omnic butler, Bob, who “charges forward and knocks enemies into the air, then lays down suppressing fire with his arm cannons.”

Alongside Ashe’s announcement, they premiered the new short for McCree, Reunion. Which not only features Ashe, but seems to also contain Hero 30.

And, Hero 30 is clearly not Athena; Athena’s hanging out with Winston before this short. Her name, apparently, is Echo. And that’s all we know. Well, other than that she seems to be another one of the concept art characters given some polish and brought forward (Iris, seemingly).

I still dream of Mama Hong, and the great handle mystery.

As an aside, Lúcio-Oh’s are real. With REAL frog flavor (no, not really, I’m never allowed to have any fun, GAWD!).
