Bryan Fuller Producing New Star Trek TV Show

Bryan Fuller

Bryan Fuller has had a stellar few years working on various television projects, most notably with the incredible Hannibal. Now he is venturing back to a world he knows quite a lot about with the upcoming Star Trek television series.

Fuller is no stranger to Star Trek, having worked on both Star Trek: Voyager as well as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He will be serving as show runner on this new Star Trek series, something that he has been pushing for many years.

Fuller stated:

My very first experience of Star Trek is my oldest brother turning off all the lights in the house and flying his model of a D7 Class Klingon Battle Cruiser through the darkened halls. Before seeing a frame of the television series, the Star Trek universe lit my imagination on fire. It is without exaggeration a dream come true to be crafting a brand-new iteration of Star Trek with fellow franchise alum Alex Kurtzman and boldly going where no Star Trekseries has gone before.

The upcoming Star Trek series is set to premiere on CBS sometime in 2017. After its debut on television, it will move to CBS’ digital “CBS All Access” platform.
