Comcast Offers 60 Days of Free Internet for Low-Income Families Over Coronavirus

Comcast is not a good company but even a bad egg can do something good every now and then. Come to think of it, this does seem like a great PR move. Look, I have no love with large companies but you can both do something good and get good PR from it.

Right now, Comcast is offering its ‘Internet Essentials’ program which runs $9.95 a month for low-income families. But because of the coronavirus pandemic, those same families can get two free months of the service as more and more people sequester themselves over concerns of infection.

The Comcast ‘Internet Essentials’ plan offers 25 Mbps downloads and 3 Mbps uploads with no contract, installation fee, or credit check. If you or someone you know is on public assistance then they can sign up right now. You can check your eligibility status on the Comcast site here: https://www.internetessentials.com/Apply
