Disney working on ‘Lilo & Stitch’ live-action remake

Another day, another announcement of Disney going back to the well for a live-action remake.

This time the 2002 animated feature Lilo & Stitch is getting the live-action treatment. The Hollywood Reporter, well, is reporting that Disney has already hired a scriptwriter and that the film will be produced by  Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich.

Lin and Eirich are currently working on the live-action remake of Aladdin for Disney. The remake is planned as a live-action/CG hybrid, but we don’t have any news regarding a release. The film could potentially be slated for Disney’s new streaming service that launches in 2019.
