The Doctor Who panel just finished up over at New York Comic Con and we sure learned some interesting things. This years Christmas Special is mixing things up by adding superheros into the Doctor Who universe.

The special is titled  “Return of Doctor Mysterio” and features Justin Chatwin as the hero. Chatwin may be familiar to fans as having played Goku Dragon Ball Evolution, the live-action adaptation of Dragon Ball. To be fair I didn’t hate the film and Chatwin is doing great work on shows like Orphan Black.

You can check out the first footage from the special below. All I know is that things are getting really weird on Doctor Who this season, and that’s saying something for a show that gets off doing weird.
