Its been revealed via the official Star Wars page that Donald Glover has been cast as a young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo movie . Glover will be joining Alden Ehrenreich in the film.
The yet untitled Han Solo film is being headed up by The Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Speaking on the casting the directors said that, “We’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us. These are big shoes to fill, and an even bigger cape, and this one fits him perfectly, which will save us money on alterations. Also, we’d like to publicly apologize to Donald for ruining Comic-Con for him forever.”
Donald Glover has been keeping busy over the past few years in all manner of media. From his turn in the hit comedy show Community, to his comedy stand-up and massive hip hop record, the man never stops performing. Most recently his new show Atlanta released to rave reviews, and he will also be a part of year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming in some yet unnamed capacity.
