Variety and TMZ are reporting that Maze Runner star Dylan O’Brien has sustained serious injuries while on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure. The 24 year-old suffered multiple injuries including a number of broken bones.
The studio has released the following statement on the incident:
“Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery”
The star was hit by a vehicle during a stunt that went wrong while shooting a scene for the upcoming film. Details on the accident or what caused it have not been released at the time of this writing.
