Facebook And Instagram Still Down For A Number Of Users

How will we ever survive.

Facebook, as well as a number of associated services owned by the social media giant, has been down for many users for most of the day. Their service has been out in a number of countries and states as well, according to DownDetector. And, due to this, Facebook took to Twitter to explain things to its users.

We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

There were initially rumors that the issue was caused by a DDoS attack, but Facebook put those to rest via tweet as well:

We're focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack.

As to when things should be back to normal? That’s still unknown.
