You know, for the Fortnite.

If you’ve ever played anything demanding on a smartphone, you’re probably familiar with the limitations of a touchscreen. Specifically, how terrible onscreen buttons are for just about anything more than simple puzzle or adventure games. Which is why Xiaomi’s Black Shark 3 Pro has some pop-up shoulder buttons to make your somewhat more frenetic games a bit more playable.

In game mode, you can bring the pair of 21-millimeter-wide buttons 1.5 millimeters out from the phone’s body for game time. The buttons are rated for over 300,000 lifts and over 1 million presses. The Black Shark 3 Pro‘s specs:

  • 7.1-inch, 3,120 x 1,440 AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate, 270 Hz touch sampling
  • Adjustable pressure sensors on either side of the screen in landscape
  • 5000 mAh Battery
  • Snapdragon 856 chipset with dual-pipe cooling
  • Triple camera back-facing setup
    *64-megapixel main
    *13-megapixel ultra wide
    *5-megapixel bokeh
  • 20-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • 256GB storage, with choice of RAM
    *8GB RAM – 4,699 yuan ($675)
    *16GB RAM – 4,999 yuan ($718)

There’s also the non-Pro version, the Black Shark 3, which has slightly lower specs in regards to the screen and battery. That model comes with similar RAM options, in a price range from 3,499 yuan ($502) to 3,999 yuan ($575).

Both versions of the Blackl Shark 3 come with pins in the back for an 18W magnetic charging plug, which means not having to hold the phone around the usual charging plug. They’re also capable of 65W fast charging through the USB-C port, capable of charging to 50% in 12 minutes, or 100% in 38 minutes.

All models of the Black Shark 3 are currently available for pre-order.
