Facebook’s Oculus Go is a $200 Standalone Headset

Fire Duck in Virtual Reality? A man can dream.

Mark Zuckerberg recently unveiled the new Oculus Go at the Oculus Connect event in San Jose. It’s set to launch early 2018, and developer kits will launch in November.

It’s half the price of the original Oculus Rift headset. It’s lightweight, it has audio drivers built in, everything’s better on it. Overall, they’re clearly trying to get more people into VR; especially given the race between Oculus and HTC.

The Oculus Go was pretty much made to compete. And it will probably do well in that regard.
