It’s entirely possible that Nintendo is gearing up for a Game Boy Classic.
Nintendo filed for a Trademark in Japan related to the Game Boy. According to Livedoor, they included an image which is clearly everyone’s favorite grey brick in the filing.
All said, it’s not necessarily confirmation. There could be any number of reasons they would file such a thing; companies do this all the time. It’d be hard to to get a device with a screen within the MSRP window they’ve been shooting for with the Classic systems. Still, it’s nice to dream, right?
