Final Fantasy XV brings “selfie” mode and more to game in Januray 24th update

Final Fantasy XV fans need to mark their calendars as January 24th is the day the game is getting a big update. Square Enix showed off the update last month, but it wasn’t until today that we got a date for the release.

The largest feature that is coming is the Moogle Chocobo Carnival that has fans excited. The update is available to everyone, but there are two different levels; one for free and the other for season pass/paid users.

Gematsu translated the information from he Japanese site regarding the update:

“Holiday Pack+” Updates (Reference)

  • Moogle Chocobo Carnival opened
  • “Festive Ensemble (Noctis-only)” costume added
  • “Holiday Pack+ Exclusive” photo frames added

“Holiday Pack (Free Version)” Updates (Reference)

  • Moogle Chocobo Carnival opened
  • “Choco-Mog Tee (Noctis-only)” costume added
  • “Holiday Pack (Free Version) Exclusive” photo frames added

“Self-Photographing Feature” Implemented

  • Players can freely take pictures outside of battle.
