Here’s the first official trailer for Gone Girl, David Fincher’s upcoming film based on Gillian Flynn’s novel of the same name. It revolves around Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck), the disappearance of his wife (Rosamund Pike), and don’t let anyone tell you anything else. I adored this book, and the movie looks pretty damn good too. It’s got that classic Fincher color palette, and a wonderful use of the song “She” by Elvis Costello.

That looks fantastic. Gone Girl opens October 3.
