“Mutants. They’re gone now.”
The trailer for Logan kicks off with some Johnny Cash and sets a tone that has never before been seen in a Wolverine film, let alone in a superhero film. Logan is putting itself in the dram department from this trailer and that is something damn refreshing if this trailer isn’t some cheap ploy (*cough* Suicide Squad *cough*).
In the trailer we see an old Logan and Professor Xavier team up to save what looks to be X-23. We aren’t given a lot of clues, but there are allusions to her being a new mutant, something special in this new timeline. Logan feels different than anything that has come before in the new crowded superhero genre. Only time will tell if that’s the case.
