The Powers Rangers film reboot finally has a teaser trailer. It came out via the official Facebook this morning before quickly being pulled. Well, this is the internet and once the cats out of the bag, the cats out of the bag.
The Power Rangers Facebook page re-shared the teaser a little while later, but it probably spoiled their plans for New York Comic Con. Still, at least those not at the show got something special which is nice for fans and not so nice for someone social media job.
The teaser trailer is whopping 2:20 and shows a much more serious set of Power Rangers than ever before. This is a band of misfits and outcasts far removed from the popular teens of the original television series. We also find that they are more than simply their suits (of which we don’t see).
Still, the trailer is pretty impressive and the film looks to be going in the right direction. I’m skeptical, but very interested.
