Look, the upcoming Power Rangers film probably isn’t going to be all that great. It’s walking a fine line of nostalgia for the original series (I’m in that category) and the kid friendly fare of whatever incarnation they are in over on Nickelodeon.

I liked the initial trailer as the film feels more Breakfast Club than magic space creature thing, but now, after seeing the first full image of Alpha 5 I’m not so sure.

While these teenagers may have attitude issues, the Rangers’ pals do seem very, VERY alien. You can still see clear influences of the original Alpha 5 in this new design, but those damn feeler eyes creep me the fuck out.
