J.K. Simmons joining Justice League as Commissioner Gordon

Commissioner Gordon

We all know how integral a part the character of Commissioner Gordon is to the Justice League. Who can forget the time he helped saved the world from Starro, or the time he took down Darksied all on his own, or the time he took over for Batman. That last point actually happened in the comics… Okay, I’m mostly poking fun here, but how can I not with what Warner Bros. keeps doing to their still not here movie universe.

Simmons is best known to comic fans as playing the much-loved J. Jonah Jameson in the original Spider-Man trilogy. He is now making his way to the DC universe in the form of Commissioner Gordon, the longtime friend an ally of Batman. This makes sense as all of these films are pretty much Batman films anyways.

Zack Snyder begins shooting for Justice League in April, only a month after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters in March.
